This course informs licensed therapists about Ethical, Legal and Professional standards, supported by the American Counseling Association and the National Board for Certified Counselors. The workshop helps clinicians become more nuanced in these standards, so they serve children and families with best practices.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
Identify key ACA and NBCC ethical principles related to confidentiality, informed consent, and professional boundaries, specific to children and families.
Navigate ethical challenges in telehealth, social media, and technology use with child and family clients.
Apply best practices to avoid harm and ensure cultural competence in diverse family systems.
Recognize and mitigate risks related to dual relationships and professional disclosures.
Utilize ethical decision-making frameworks to resolve complex dilemmas.
This course has been approved for 5 Core CE Hours through LPCGA.
