Mariana graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies (Go Dawgs!). Mariana then attended Walden University where she earned her Master of Science in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling.

With children, Mariana utilizes child-centered play therapy to help children explore emotions, build resilience, work through challenges, and develop emotional regulation. Play is the language of children! Mariana goes the extra mile to provide new and creative experiences for each play therapy session.

Mariana also specializes in working with teens and adults to offer support around identity exploration, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges through an integrative and holistic approach. This psychodynamic approach consists of using a wide variety of therapy modalities to create a unique and tailored experience for each client. A few of these modalities include insight-oriented talk therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, reality therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and internal family systems.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to embark in self-exploration, Mariana aims to provide a grounded, empathetic, and judgment-free space that fits your wants and needs! Creativity, curiosity, and connection are central to her work. Mariana’s approach is rooted in the belief that healing happens when we feel seen, heard, and understood, often in ways that go beyond words.

A Few Words From Mariana:

If you have found your way here, you may be holding on to something heavy such as stress, emotional pain, relationship challenges, or just a feeling that something is off. Whatever brought you to this point, I want you to know that you are not alone, and seeking support is a brave and courageous first step!

As a therapist, I work incredibly hard to create a space just for you—a space where you can breathe, speak freely, and meet your challenges with compassion and curiosity. Therapy is not about fixing something that is broken. It is about discovering new ways of moving through life’s experiences that feel authentic to who you are. While it can be a daunting and intimidating step, I can assure you that I will walk alongside you as you heal, transform, and grow into the you that feels right, whole, and true. Thank you for trusting me!
