Meet Sara! Sara works with children (4+), adolescents, teens, young adults, parents, and families, partnering with them to strengthen relationships, build resilience, and develop practical coping skills for both everyday and major-life challenges.

Sara graduated from Columbia University in New York (Go Lions!) in 2022 with her Master's Degree in Social Work with Advanced Clinical Practice as her specialty. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the University of North Texas in 2021. Sara pursued a career path in mental health due to her own journey of healing and restoration and is passionate about being a source of support and a beacon of hope for her clients!

During her undergraduate and graduate training, Sara dedicated extensive time to supporting children, adolescents, teens, and their families in school environments. She has also served as a Family and Intake Therapist in an inpatient psychiatric unit and worked in a Partial Hospital Program (PHP) for children ages 4–17. Her background includes leading therapeutic groups on social skills, building confidence, improving emotional regulation, and fostering healthy peer connections.

Sara is DBT-Informed and has completed 29.5 hours of Foundations Jump Start into Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) training, led by Shari Manning P.H.D. She is passionate about integrating DBT skills such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness into her work.

Her approach is empathetic, collaborative, and customized to each person and family, guided by the belief there’s no “one-size-fits-all” path to growth. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT skills, Family Systems Theory, and Person-Centered approaches, often incorporating creativity, play-based strategies, and interactive exercises to help clients feel engaged and supported.

She meets clients wherever they are—whether that’s a child feeling overwhelmed and melting down after school, a teen pulling away from friends, or a young adult struggling with college transitions, career uncertainty, relationship changes, or finding their place in the world.

A Few Words From Sara:

Hi, I'm Sara! I am so glad you have taken the time to start your therapy journey.

As a therapist, my primary goal is to ensure that you feel comfortable to share your feelings, thoughts, and ideas in a non-judgemental environment. In a therapeutic relationship, I strive to be a guide for you as you navigate life's ups and downs, and I aim to be someone you can count on, talk with, cry with, laugh with, and connect with. I want therapy to be a space FOR YOU and about YOU. I strive to make therapy a place where you can practice autonomy, and I want to empower you to use the tools we discuss!

“Boundaries are the distance at which I can love you and me simultaneously.”
