About Us

Cristine Seidell founded Rise Therapy Center in 2017 because she wanted to redirect the focus of clinical mental health not on identifying and fixing what was wrong with clients but optimistically creating a space that allows clients to grow and understand beyond their presenting concerns.

Cristine first earned a Bachelor’s in Education, and after twelve years as an educator, she worked toward her Master’s of Community Counseling at Argosy University, Atlanta. She transitioned into a career in counseling due to a desire to invest in the development and understanding of her students’ relationships and concepts of self, feeling she would make a more positive change by working through a therapeutic lens over an educational one. Concentrating her interest in treatment resistance, she is certified in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming and trained in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy through Alchemy Trainings in Oakland, CA.

After receiving a certification in Specialized Custody-Related Family Disputes and Reunification Through Specialized Family Therapy Training and Consulting Services, Cristine amplified what she learned and pioneered the 3-6-9 Family Reunification Plan ©, which is the foundational blueprint Rise Therapy Center clinicians utilize for reunification work.

With more than a decade of clinical instruction, practice, and then teaching, Cristine’s fundamental focus for Rise Therapy Center is to provide a sanctuary for healing, where children, teens, adults, couples, and families can be seen, heard, and truly met.

Her experience as a professional consultant for family reunification therapy and ketamine-assisted therapy demonstrates her passion for mental health advocation and education. Her team of interns, counselors, and social workers and other staff at Rise Therapy Center mirror Cristine’s enthusiasm and work ethic by expanding professional experience, even beyond the requirements of licensure; building strong rapport with clients; and providing a safe space for healing.

Our Vision

To provide a refuge to our community where individuals can feel empowered, expand their inner strengths and skills, and work towards improved emotional health and well-being.

Our Mission

  • To create a protected therapeutic “holding space” where people of all ages and walks of life feel safe to find influence and purpose in their lives, empowering them to RISE and meet life with confidence and optimism.

  • To create a team of therapists and staff who provide our clients with attentive, empathetic, and compassionate partners in the exploration of their lives through listening, meeting them where they are, providing tools to move them forward, and helping to guide them on a path to healing and their specific goals.

  • To establish a cohesive team where members feel cared for, included, motivated, recognized, and supplied with learning opportunities to grow and develop as professionals by helping our practitioners identify and build on their specific strengths and giftedness as practitioners.

Our Values

Compassion & Caring

We create a judgment-free zone so that others' perspectives or situations can be appreciated and understood when they are different from our own. We genuinely care about the other person’s needs and values and make them feel seen, heard, and understood.

Whole Person Approach

We understand that every client has a unique background that makes them who they are today.  We actively seek to discover and appreciate the “whole person”—including the biological, social, cultural, psychological, educational, economic, spiritual, and environmental influences on each person’s life.

Trust

Trust is the belief and confidence in the integrity, reliability, and fairness of another person.  We establish this trust through open and honest communication, by treating each other with respect and without judgment, and by being consistent in doing what we said we will do. We strive to establish positive, trusting relationships with all of our clients.

Empowerment

We build relationships where our clients feel comfortable to discover and discuss what they truly want out of life. We help clients identify their strengths and abilities and providing encouragement to reach their goals. We incorporate the social work tenant of self-determination, we highlight that every client is free to make their own decisions and choices.

Integrity

We strongly uphold moral and ethical principles in our daily practice and in delivery of services. Each person served entrusts their wellness to our professional care and expects to be treated—and to receive treatment—in a manner that honors professional and ethical codes and standards.

Sensitivity

We appreciate and respect the diversity and cultural differences of the individuals we serve and take into account the many multidimensional aspects of their lives. We strive to provide services that reflect the context of each individual’s needs, and we do so in a sensitive and caring manner.

Fun

We value having fun in our lives both personally and professionally. We believe that when we're the happiest and healthiest versions of ourselves, we are most effective at helping others.

Growth & Development

We are committed to proactively nurturing our minds, bodies, souls, and spirits. We actively search out continuing educational activities that advance our personal goals and professional specializations. We challenge ourselves to never stop learning and growing.
