This course informs therapists and parents about Pathological Demand Avoidance and how to identify, work with and move through the difficulties and pitfalls that can occur in the home and therapeutic room.

Objectives:

By the end of this course:

1. Therapist will gain an understanding of PA and how it presents in children, teens and adults.

2. Therapist will be equipped with skills to help facilitate therapy sessions and integrate interventions to address and decrease PDA.

3. Therapist will gain skills on how to aid and support the family and support systems in integrating interventions in the home environment.

This course has been approved for 3 Core CE Hours through LPCAGA.
