Zack is a current graduate student at the University of North Georgia working to obtain his Master’s degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling. He has gained significant experience working with children ages 7-18, and has developed a deep passion for working with this age group. Zack enjoys working with children to practice new skills and process their emotions while providing support to parents to continue the work at home.

While Zack has gained significant experience working with children, he also has experience working with adults of all ages who are managing life transitions or coping with anxiety or depression.

Zack is incredibly passionate about helping families and children adjust and integrate throughout the process of adoption. The process of adoption comes with stress, shame, loss of identity, and significant life transitions. Zack helps clients and families adjust throughout the process by helping increase a sense of identity and connectedness with individual members as well as the family as a whole.

Zack creates a safe and warm environment where a client can be open and authentic. He is adaptable and non-judgmental, focusing on building a strong relationship with clients to lay the foundation for their work together.

A Few Words From Zack

Taking care of your mental health can seem difficult and scary, but you do not have to do it alone. Therapy is a collaboration between client and counselor to create a healthy therapeutic alliance where the client can enter a space where they feel safe, heard, understood, and authentic. As a counselor, my role is to help you identify your goals and strengths. Together, we will create a plan for you to achieve your dreams. You are the expert in your life and your process. I am not here to judge your life or criticize your choices. I am here to challenge you to reflect on your life and gain insight about yourself. Sometimes life gets so messy, we lose sight of ourselves and our true strength. Current external forces, our past experiences, the people we surround ourselves with have significant impacts on our mental health, both positive and negative. Recognizing our patterns, our strengths, and our supports will allow us to become a healthier and more authentic version of ourselves.

"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”

-  Ralph Waldo Emerson

“In the social jungle of human existence, there is no feeling of being alive without a sense of identity.”

-       Erik Erikson

FEES:

INDIVIDUAL FEE: $95 / 50-MINUTE SESSION

Rise Therapy Center is an Out of Network provider, with many insurance companies which means that we do not bill insurance companies directly. Your counseling services may be eligible for reimbursement through out-of-network benefits, medical spending (FSA's) or health care savings accounts (HSA's). Health insurance plans and benefits vary. If you are interested in using your health insurance, please call your insurance provider to inquire about reimbursement for out-of-network counseling services.

Our Client Coordinator, Lindsay, will provide you with a document on request called a "superbill" which is like an invoice but contains the service codes, dates of treatment, and monies paid during therapy. You would submit this to your plan directly and your plan would reimburse you directly as well.

HOW ARE MY RECORDS STORED?

We utilize a HIPAA compliant, encrypted, electronic medical record called Therapy Appointments that holds all of my client's mental health records safely in it. You will get a link to a client portal where you fill in demographic information and can access documents like invoices and superbills on your own.

DO YOU HAVE A CANCELATION POLICY?

I have a 24- business hour cancelation policy You will be responsible for an entire session fee of 95 if the change is made in less than 24 business hours' notice. Exceptions may be made for emergencies such as sudden illness or accident, at my discretion. It should be noted that insurance does not reimburse for canceled sessions and HSA and FSA cards can't be used in these cases.
