A Few Words From Catherine

Let’s be honest; the idea of opening about your innermost thoughts and feelings can be intimidating. I believe you deserve a therapeutic space where you can leave your “mask” at the door, and can instead focus on your own growth, healing, and bettering your understanding of your uniquely awesome self. I am here to create and hold a space where you can feel safe to lower the emotional walls you may put up against the world. Together, we can explore your innermost world without fear of judgment.

No two people are alike, and I believe that your uniqueness and complexity should be reflected and celebrated in the work we do together. As an individual, you are the expert on your own lived experience. Together, we can reflect on and explore that experience to create therapeutic goals that not only assist you in better understanding your present self but promote changes and growing towards becoming the person you want to be.

“Courage is a heart word. The root of the word courage is cor—the Latin word for heart. In one of its earliest forms, the word courage meant ‘To speak one’s mind by telling all one’s heart.’ Over time, this definition has changed, and today, we typically associate courage with heroic and brave deeds. But in my opinion, this definition fails to recognize the inner strength and level of commitment required for us to actually speak honestly and openly about who we are and about our experiences—good and bad. Speaking from our hearts is what I think of as ‘ordinary courage.'”- Brene Brown

“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.- Victor Frankl

FEES:

INDIVIDUAL FEE: $165 / 50-MINUTE SESSION

Rise Therapy Center is an Out of Network provider, with many insurance companies which means that we do not bill insurance companies directly. Your counseling services may be eligible for reimbursement through out-of-network benefits, medical spending (FSA's) or health care savings accounts (HSA's). Health insurance plans and benefits vary. If you are interested in using your health insurance, please call your insurance provider to inquire about reimbursement for out-of-network counseling services.

Our Client Coordinator, Lindsay, will provide you with a document on request called a "superbill" which is like an invoice but contains the service codes, dates of treatment, and monies paid during therapy. You would submit this to your plan directly and your plan would reimburse you directly as well.

HOW ARE MY RECORDS STORED?

We utilize a HIPAA compliant, encrypted, electronic medical record called Therapy Appointments that holds all of my client's mental health records safely in it. You will get a link to a client portal where you fill in demographic information and can access documents like invoices and superbills on your own.

DO YOU HAVE A CANCELATION POLICY?

I have a 24- business hour cancelation policy You will be responsible for an entire session fee of 165 if the change is made in less than 24 business hours' notice. Exceptions may be made for emergencies such as sudden illness or accident, at my discretion. It should be noted that insurance does not reimburse for canceled sessions and HSA and FSA cards can't be used in these cases.
