A Few Words From Abby

My therapeutic approach is rooted in the principles of person-centered care, blending traditional talk therapy with evidence-based neuro-experiential modalities. I am passionate about guiding individuals towards recognizing and addressing maladaptive relational patterns, while empowering them to rewire their brains to heal deeply entrenched traumas and attachment issues. No two people are alike, and I believe that your uniqueness and complexity should be reflected and celebrated in the work we do together. As an individual, you are the expert on your own lived experience. Together, we can reflect on and explore that experience to create therapeutic goals that not only assist you in better understanding your present self but also you innate potential for transformative change.

I find great fulfillment in supporting Deeply Feeling Kids (DFK), recognizing them as a distinct and newly acknowledged segment within childhood psychology. With their families, I advocate for a specialized approach to caregiving and parenting, tailored to the unique needs of these empathetic young people. Within this sensitive realm lies a profound opportunity for both personal growth and strengthened familial bonds. Let's embark on a journey of understanding, nurturing, and fostering deep connections within this remarkable domain of childhood development.

When I’m not working, you can usually find me enjoying a grand coffee, a book that smells of new pages, and an unequivocal desire to discover life’s convergence of chaos and beauty in being a mom, a wife, and a person of this earthly world.

“GROWTH IS CHANGE. When everything is easy, we have no reason to change. The most painful moments in life expand us. And when the pain leaves, space remains. Space we can fill with life itself!”

Rise Therapy Center is an Out of Network provider, with many insurance companies which means that we do not bill insurance companies directly. Your counseling services may be eligible for reimbursement through out-of-network benefits, medical spending (FSA's) or health care savings accounts (HSA's). Health insurance plans and benefits vary. If you are interested in using your health insurance, please call your insurance provider to inquire about reimbursement for out-of-network counseling services.

Our Client Coordinator, Lindsay, will provide you with a document on request called a "superbill" which is like an invoice but contains the service codes, dates of treatment, and monies paid during therapy. You would submit this to your plan directly and your plan would reimburse you directly as well.

HOW ARE MY RECORDS STORED?

We utilize a HIPAA compliant, encrypted, electronic medical record called Therapy Appointments that holds all of my client's mental health records safely in it. You will get a link to a client portal where you fill in demographic information and can access documents like invoices and superbills on your own.

DO YOU HAVE A CANCELATION POLICY?

I have a 24- business hour cancelation policy You will be responsible for an entire session fee of 165 if the change is made in less than 24 business hours' notice. Exceptions may be made for emergencies such as sudden illness or accident, at my discretion. It should be noted that insurance does not reimburse for canceled sessions and HSA and FSA cards can't be used in these cases.
