The Attuned Therapist (Level 1): Foundations of Intuition & Compassion in Clinical Practice
3 CE Course Hours Live Synchronous
Presented by Cristine Seidell, LPC, CCH
Presentation Dates:
Time: 9am-12pm
Friday, October 16, 2026
Friday, December 11, 2026
Summary:
This 3-hour introductory continuing education workshop provides clinicians with a foundational understanding of clinical intuition, somatic awareness, and compassion-based inquiry as tools to enhance therapeutic attunement and client self-awareness.
Grounded in neuroscience, attachment theory, and the work of Carl Jung, this training explores how implicit processing, nervous system cues, and relational dynamics inform clinical perception. Participants will learn to differentiate intuition from bias and assumption, and will be introduced to practical strategies for integrating compassionate, curiosity-based inquiry into their clinical work.
The course emphasizes ethical application, including maintaining client autonomy, avoiding harm, and using clear, collaborative language when exploring intuitive observations. Participants will engage in brief experiential exercises and guided practice to support initial skill development.
This training is designed as an introductory-level course, with opportunities for continued learning and skill-building in more advanced trainings.
Objectives:
By the end of this workshop:
Therapists will define clinical intuition and describe its relationship to implicit processing, somatic awareness, and therapeutic attunement.
Therapists will be able to demonstrate the use of basic compassion-based inquiry techniques to explore client experiences and enhance therapeutic presence.
Therapists will be able to differentiate intuitive awareness from bias, assumption, and projection, and apply ethically appropriate language when sharing observations with clients.
This course will be approved for 3 Core CE Hours through LPCGA.
Details of access to be emailed after order is confirmed.
