Vicky earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Vietnamese Language and Literature from the University of Georgia, and went on to earn my Master of Education in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Augusta University. I co-published a piece on the fetishization of Asian women, exploring the historical sexualization of Asian women’s lived experiences and highlighting ways to support clients through culturally responsive and trauma-informed care. I also have clinical experience working with survivors and their children of domestic violence and intimate partner violence through my internship at Safe Homes Domestic Violence Center. This work has deepened my commitment to providing a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and respected in where they are.

My therapeutic approach draws from Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Sandtray Therapy. I believe each client’s story is shaped by lived experiences over time, and that different parts of us can carry meanings, emotions, and responses rooted in the past while also showing up in the present. In our work together, I support clients in gently exploring these parts of themselves with curiosity and compassion, and utilizing sand can be a way of expressing and understanding what is happening internally when words are not enough. I believe in meeting clients where they are while supporting growth, emotional insight, and bravery at a pace that feels safe for them.

In my free time, I enjoy watching anime and Asian dramas, listening to music (mostly R&B and rap), and spending time with my cats, and trying out different hobbies such as crocheting, baking, and gardening (currently).
