IQ, EQ, or BQ...Oh My!

Curious about where your highest quotient lies?

Intelligence Quotient (IQ),
Emotional Quotient (EQ),
or
Body Quotient (BQ).

All are equally important to have happy and healthy relationships with our peers, partners, and parents, but knowing which is your highest and most in tune sets you apart to gain results quicker and with less resistance.

Our IQ tells us what the data is saying, and those of us that have a higher IQ will make decisions from this place most of the time.

Our EQ tells us what we feel about a particular situation, person, or decision. This is where many go into their body to “feel it out” before they make moves.

Our BQ is our intuition that speaks to us from within and may sound along the lines of, “my gut is telling me….”

There is no quotient that is better or more effective than the other. In fact, in relationships and leadership, we must be in tune with all three, although we need to lean into one more than the others when it comes to making swift and direct decisions.

The ultimate goal in life, whether with our colleagues, partners, or children, is to be able to sit with them and ourselves, acknowledge what we all bring in these areas, and move to get a full-bodied “yes.” Meaning, after checking in on all levels, we think, feel, and ultimately affirm a decision.
